Messi to Get New Manager as Mascherano’s Replacement Emerges

Javier Mascherano assumed the role of head coach for Inter Miami in November last year after Gerardo Martino’s departure.

His hiring was met with optimism regarding improved performance in tournaments; however, despite a strong start to the current season with an unbeaten record, the team’s recent performance has raised concerns.

Messi’s team has secured just one victory in their last five matches in Major League Soccer, resulting in significant criticism directed at Mascherano.

While the Argentine coach has openly taken responsibility for the team’s recent struggles, it may not suffice for the club to keep him in his position.

Inter Miami has begun the process of finding a new head coach and has pinpointed a potential successor for Mascherano, according to GOAL.

Who is being considered as Lionel Messi & Co.’s next head coach?

According to the previous report, Andre Jardine has emerged as a favored candidate for the managerial vacancy at Inter Miami. The 45-year-old currently coaches Liga MX team Club America and has led them to three consecutive league wins.

Jardine also maintains a strong rapport with Inter Miami’s chief soccer officer, Alberto Marrero, which could enhance the likelihood of him being hired by the team.

His existing contract at Club America runs through the summer of 2027 and includes a buyout clause estimated to be around $5 million (£3.6m).
