Sex Education, Season 2 Premiere: Gillian Anderson, Asa Butterfield, Emma Mackey, Ncuti Gatwa, Aimee-Lou Wood, Connor Swindells, Kedar Williams-Stirling, Tanya Reynolds, Patricia Allison, and Alistair Petrie are reprising their roles in Season 2. The first season garnered critical and popular acclaim and has opened up poignant cultural conversations around sexuality, relationships, and identity. The series has been lauded for delivering a coming-of-age story with a fresh, feminist heart, and for presenting intersectional and multidimensional characters that audiences have fallen in love with. Season 2 will begin streaming on Friday, January 17.
Grace and Frankie, Season 6 Premiere: In the series, Jane Fonda (Grace) and Lily Tomlin (Frankie) star as two women whose lives are turned upside down when their husbands reveal they are gay and leave them for each other. Both sparring partners and partners-in-crime, Grace and Frankie form an unlikely and unbreakable bond and face their uncertain futures head-on, hand-in-hand. Together with their ex-husbands and children, they discover the true definition of “family,” with laughter, tears, and plenty of mood enhancers along the way. Grace and Frankie are ready to rise up and make a splash when the new season launches on Wednesday, January 15.

The New Pope, Series Premiere: Starring Oscar nominees John Malkovich as Sir John Brannox and Jude Law as Lenny Belardo, the limited series serves as a follow-up to Paolo Sorrentino’s The Young Pope. The New Pope is written by Sorrentino with Umberto Contarello and Stefano Bises, set in the world of the modern papacy as Brannox and Belardo go head-to-head over the leadership title of the Catholic Church. The first episode of the series is now available to stream on HBO Now and HBO Go, with new episodes airing every Monday night.

Little America, Series Premiere: From Oscar nominees Kumail Nanjiani and Emily V. Gordon, the immigration-themed anthology series based on the true stories featured in Epic Magazine, described as “a small, collective portrait of America’s immigrants — and thereby a portrait of America itself.” Little America will “go beyond the headlines” in order to view the funny, romantic, heartfelt, inspiring, and unexpected lives of immigrants in America, when their stories are more relevant than ever. The series will debut on Friday, January 17.

American Horror Story, Seasons 11, 12 & 13: Ryan Murphy’s anthology horror series has been renewed for an additional three seasons at FX! Fans can look forward to Season 11, 12, and 13 of the Murphy and Brad Falchuk-produced series while production continues on Season 10, which is expected to premiere this year. Additionally, Golden Globe and Emmy winner Sarah Paulson is officially returning to the series in the tenth season and will be playing a central character in the story.
Star Trek: Picard, Season 2: CBS All Access has officially renewed its upcoming Star Trek spin-off series Star Trek: Picard for a 10-episode second season and will reportedly have a budget of more than $20.4 million. The renewal comes ahead of the series’ highly-anticipated debut next month which will feature the return of Sir Patrick Stewart as the iconic titular character.
The L Word: Q Generation/Work in Progress, Season 2: Showtime has officially announced that they have renewed Jennifer Beal’s The L Word: Generation Q and Abby McEnany’s comedy series Work in Progress for a 10-episode second season which will be two episodes longer than the current season. The renewal announcement comes ahead of the forthcoming first season finales of the two shows which will both air on January 26.
Shameless, Season 11: Showtime’s Shameless has been renewed for Season 11, which will serve as the final season of the award-winning series. Season 10 of the series is currently airing new episodes every Sunday night.
You, Season 3: After less than a month since the second season of Penn Badgley’s You debuted in December, Netflix has officially announced that they have renewed their hit psychological thriller series for a 10-episode third season. You Season 3 is scheduled for next year, with Badgely and Victoria Pedretti reprising their roles Joe and Love.
Awkwafina is Nora From Queens, Season 2: Comedy Central has officially renewed its upcoming comedy series Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens for a second season. The renewal announcement comes ahead of the half-hour long sitcom’s debut next week which will be led by Awkwafina, who has recently won her first Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her incredible performance in Lulu Wang’s The Farewell.
