On Jan. 7, BTS announced their upcoming album, which is set to drop on Friday, Feb. 21. But with over a month between now and the Map of the Soul: 7 release date, the septet — RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V, and Jungkook — won’t leave ARMY in the dark for very long. Pre-orders for the next album begin on Jan. 9. And according to the newly unveiled schedule, BTS has plenty of content coming within the next few weeks. So hold on tight.

The BTS Map of the Soul: 7 “comeback map” proves the group plans to piece together a strong concept for their new album within the next few weeks. Not only is ARMY receiving concept photos, but also two films for the first and lead singles on Jan. 17 and Feb. 21, respectively.

Meanwhile, BTS fans will have to hold on a little longer for the Map of the Soul: 7 tracklist, which will be released on Feb. 17. But from the looks of the pre-order details revealing a lyric book of 52 pages and the Grammy Awards website reporting the album is a “full-length project,” ARMY is expecting plenty of new tracks moving forward.

The BTS schedule also shows Map of the Soul: 7 will receive not one, but two comeback trailers. One for “Shadow” on Jan. 10. Then another for “Ego” on Feb. 3. Now, for anyone who doesn’t remember, the Map of the Soul: Persona only received one comeback trailer for RM’s “Persona” rap solo.

BTS fans react to the ‘Map of the Soul: 7’ schedule

Following the Map of the Soul: 7 schedule announcement, BTS fans expressed their excitement about the new comeback.

“This is about to be a wild ride friends. Official Music video on Feb. 28. 1st Single and Lead single……they are not playing games,” a fan wrote on Reddit. “do my eyes deceive me??? Do I see art film??? OMG we are going for a full out production I’m going to cry. We’re so blessed.”

“army we are FEASTING honey,” another Redditor wrote. “it almost feels like the Wings CB… omg…i hope everyone gets all [the] sleep and naps and good carbs cause we are gonna be gloriously tired this CB.”

And although most fans seem grateful for the “comeback map” and an established timeline, it still feels like no one is truly prepared for what’s coming.

“oh so they got PLANS… they’re telling us everything and we’re still not ready,” one fan wrote.

Even so, we’ll just have to roll with the punches when BTS releases new comeback content. After months of hard work, it’s highly likely the septet created something worth every bit of excitement. So stay tuned.
