Taylor Swift and Joe Alwyn may be getting more comfortable when it comes to showing off their love, but these two still appear to be protecting their privacy. While we caught glimpses of them together at the Golden Globes, they still opted not to walk the red carpet as a pair.
Swift opened up about why she doesn’t talk about Alwyn in interviews. “I’ve learned that if I do [talk about my relationship with Alwyn], people think it’s up for discussion, and our relationship isn’t up for discussion,” she told Elle. “If you and I were having a glass of wine right now, we’d be talking about it — but it’s just that it goes out into the world. That’s where the boundary is, and that’s where my life has become manageable. I really want to keep it feeling manageable.”
As for Alwyn, he talked to The Times about the public’s interest in his relationship with Swift in December 2019. “I just don’t pay attention to what I don’t want to pay attention to,” he said. “I turn everything else down on a dial. I don’t have any interest in tabloids. I know what I want to do, and that’s this, and that’s what I am doing.” Sounds reasonable and it certainly seems to be working for this famous couple.
