Is it really Christmas if you haven’t watched Home Alone? This 1990 flick is a must-watch during the holiday season. It features a young Macaulay Culkin, who plays Kevin McCallister, an 8-year-old boy who is left to fend for himself after his family forgets him at home and jets off on Christmas vacation.

‘Miracle on 34th Street’

Our parents told us years ago that Santa Claus is not real. But what if he really exists? In 1947’s Miracle on 34th Street, a department store Santa Claus insists that he is the real deal. But convincing others isn’t so easy.

Critics have called the film one of the most timeless Christmas classics. IMDb describes the film as “a perfectly-cast Christmas confection that surpasses all expectations and really does make viewers laugh and tear up.” And The New York Times called it one of the best comedies of its time. In translation, you’ve gotta watch it.

‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’

The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993) focuses on Jack Skellington, the king of Halloween Town. When Jack grows bored of throwing the town’s annual Halloween extravaganza, he tries to take over Christmas. He kidnaps Santa Claus and assumes his responsibilities. But trouble soon follows.

This Tim Burton classic has been praised by kids and adults alike. Stream it on Disney + now.
