On March 3, Amazon Prime Video will be releasing “Daisy Jones & The Six”, a series based on Taylor Jenkins Reid’s book of the same name. The show follows the fictional rock band’s journey to fame during the 1970s, with Daisy Jones (Riley Keough) and Billy Dunne (Sam Claflin) at the helm. The rest of The Six consists of Graham Dunne (Will Harrison) on lead guitar, Karen Sirko (Suki Waterhouse) on keyboard, Eddie Roundtree (Josh Whitehouse) on bass, and Warren Rojas (Sebastian Chacon) on drums.
Thanks to the pandemic, the cast was able to receive extensive music training before filming their performances as a band. Showrunner Scott Neustadter told EW that without this extra time, the show would have had to rely more heavily on movie magic.
