Kaduna State Governor Warns of Disclosing Details of Former Governors Who Misappropriated State Funds

Malam Nasir El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State, has issued a warning to former governors of the state. In a Hausa program on the Kaduna State Media Corporation (KSMC), El-Rufai stated that he had only one house in Unguwan Sarki when he became governor and that is the only house he still has. He went on to say that some ex-governors had left a large deficit in the state treasury and that if they continued to attack him, he would reveal to the world how they had looted money from Kaduna and taken it to the UAE and other metropolitan cities in Europe and America to purchase properties. El-Rufai also mentioned that one of the former governors was involved in a missing N500 million contract to reconstruct the Waff Road, but nothing was done until he came into office and turned it into a dual carriageway. He concluded by saying that he was a Quantity Surveyor and knew the quality of work that had been done.
