Residents Lose Properties as Many Areas in Lagos Flood After a Few Hours of Rain (Video)

Residents of Lagos state have lamented after their homes were flooded following downpour.

The incident happened in different parts of Lagos.this morning, Feb. 20.

Areas like Abule-Egba, Aguda, and Agege, experienced flash flooding.

Photos and videos from these areas show cars partially submerged in water and residents trudging through water to get around.

The Official X handle of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), acknowledged the flooding and wrote: “Lagos residents  are urged to take caution and use alternative routes  as flash floods are occurring due to high volume of rainfall NEMA, LASEMA Fire Service, Police and other Stakeholders are working to get  people out of High-risk areas.”
