Fireboy DML, a Nigerian artist, has revealed that he opted to cooperate with teammate Rema rather than battle like Wizkid and Davido do online.

He claims that Fireboy and Rema are “advanced” for this reason.
In an interview with Apple Music’s Ebro, Fireboy stated,, “Myself and Rema are the two leading [Afrobeats] artists of our generation. We came together and realised that instead of giving the fans what they want which is beef, let’s collaborate. Because we are too advanced for this stuff.
“We didn’t even give them a club banger, we made proper music. We have five more collaborations.”
Fireboy and Rema were subjects of comparisons on social media after hitting stardom in the same year.
The comparisons subsided after Fireboy featured Rema on a track titled, ‘Compromise’ off his third studio album, ‘Palyboy’.
The collaborative song was an indication that they were in good terms.
