Travis Kelce found himself in a whirlwind of events, rushing from his teammate’s wedding in California to attend Taylor Swift’s latest Eras Tour show in Dublin.
The tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs first celebrated at a teammate’s wedding in California before quickly traversing the country and then making his way across the Atlantic to catch Taylor Swift’s performance.
Kelce’s teammate, Clyde Edwards-Helaire, was grateful for Kelce’s presence at his wedding, despite Taylor Swift not making an appearance. The wedding took place on a Saturday night, and it’s assumed that Kelce immediately boarded a plane to Ireland thereafter.
Upon arriving in Dublin, Kelce, aged 34, joined other notable guests like Julia Roberts, Stevie Nicks, and actress Florence Hunt at Taylor Swift’s show.
Kelce’s Role at the Eras Tour
After such a rapid journey, it was understandable that Kelce didn’t perform on stage like he did at a Wembley show in London involving Swift.
Kelce surprised the crowd of about 90,000 fans by joining Swift on stage during her performance of “I Can Do It with a Broken Heart,” a moment that later gained attention on Instagram. At the Dublin show, as Swift sang “Midnight Rain” from her album “Midnights,” she playfully mimicked Kelce’s archer move while singing the lyrics.
The “archer” move was originally Kelce’s ritual before a Chiefs game, symbolizing his ambitious mindset. Swift, his rumored girlfriend, incorporated this celebration into her stage performances after a guest appearance on Kelce’s “New Heights” podcast.
