Travis Kelce was excited about his surprise appearance at Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour in London, despite feeling a bit nervous.
Kelce had attended many of Swift’s performances during the summer before finally taking the stage in London.
During his New Heights podcast episode with his brother, Jason Kelce, Travis shared his main concern of safely carrying Swift on stage.
He emphasized, “The one thing I told myself is, do not drop the baby. Do not drop Taylor on your way over this damn couch,” Kelce declared on the ‘New Heights’ podcast.
“The golden rule was do not drop Taylor, get her to the couch safely.”
Collaborating on the Unexpected Idea
Kelce, despite being unfamiliar with such situations, explained how the cameo idea came to be.
“I initially mentioned it to Tay,” he explained.
“I was like, ‘How funny would it be if I just rolled out on one of the bikes during the 1989 era.”
Surprisingly, Swift found the idea amusing and inquired about his willingness to participate further.
“Would you seriously be up for doing something like that?” she asked.
Kelce was thrilled at the opportunity to appear on stage at such a significant musical event.
“I was just like, ‘What? I would love to do that, are you kidding me?,’ said Travis. “I’ve seen the show enough, might as well put me to work here.”
“Sure enough, she found the perfect part of the show for me to come in.”
Future Collaborations
Kelce hinted at the possibility of future appearances with Swift on stage.
“Shout out to Tay for letting me jump on stage with her. Who knows? Might not be the last time,” he said.
“You guys will have to keep showing up to the Eras Tour to see if I pop out of the stage or whatnot.
“Yeah. I told her I was like, yeah, no. This is how it works. Once I get comfortable, I just stop listening to what everyone says, and I start doing my own thing.”
