Newly discovered legal papers have divulged the amount of money Friends star Matthew Perry had in his bank account when he passed away.
The documents, made public by media sources on July 2, show that Perry had a balance of $1,596,914.47.
Perry’s Estate Net Worth at Time of Passing
This insight stems from an inventory and appraisal document submitted by Lisa Ferguson, one of the executors of Perry’s estate.
Matthew Perry, who died at 54 in October 2023, reportedly had a net worth of $120 million when he passed.
Despite the substantial bank balance, the full extent of his financial holdings remains undisclosed.
During the height of Friends’ fame, Perry and his fellow cast members earned $1 million per episode.
In 2009, Perry set up the Alvy Singer Living Trust, named after Woody Allen’s character in Annie Hall.
This trust holds most of Perry’s assets and lists his father, John Perry, mother, Suzanne Morrison, half-sibling Caitlin Morrison, and ex-girlfriend Rachel Dunn as beneficiaries.
The trust’s co-executors are Lisa Ferguson and Robin Ruzan.
The court document further elaborates that Perry’s personal belongings such as jewelry, furniture, artwork, and vehicles are part of his residual estate.
Perry’s mother has four children – Emily, Madeline, William, and Caitlin Morrison – with her spouse, Keith Morrison.
Perry’s father and stepmother, Debbie Boyle, have a daughter named Maria Perry-Bowick.
Ongoing Investigations Surrounding Perry’s Ketamine Usage
Matthew Perry, who was unmarried and childless, was found deceased in his hot tub at his Los Angeles residence on October 28, 2023.
Prior to his passing, he had been playing pickleball at the Riviera Country Club.
According to TMZ, Perry was not in the hot tub for an extended period before he was discovered lifeless.
Initial reports pointed towards drowning as the cause of death, but a toxicology report later indicated that Perry succumbed to acute effects of ketamine, with drowning, coronary artery disease, and buprenorphine effects listed as contributing factors.
His demise was deemed accidental.
Authorities are delving into the origins of the ketamine, with both the Los Angeles police and the Drug Enforcement Administration involved.
