Jeffrey Dean Morgan & Hilarie Burton to host Friday Night In for AMC
While AMC may not be able to finish the latest season of the long-running zombie favorite The Walking Dead, the network is partnering with star Jeffrey Dean Morgan and his wife Hilarie Burton (Lethal Weapon) for a new talk series entitled Friday Night In with the Morgans, according to TVLine.

The talk show, which is set to premiere next Friday, will see the couple resting safely in their home of Mischief Farm in upstate New York as they steer conversations via video-chat about how they and their guests are coping with the global pandemic and how they are helping out during this period of isolation around the globe. Among those set to guest star on the series are Walking Dead vets including Sarah Wayne Callies and current stars such as Christian Serratos, as well as actor/director Mark Duplass (Room 104) and Supernatural star Jensen Ackles and wife Danneel, who introduced Morgan and Burton in the first place.
Stay tuned for more. Very much coming together on the FLY!! I’ll say this… opening with @JensenAckles and @DanneelHarris will be one hell of a way to figure out what the hell we’re doing… Or not doing! Xojd

“We have been a part of the AMC family for a long time and are honored to create this comforting space with them,” the Morgans said in a statement. “We look forward to shining a light on those who are doing good in the world, catching up with old friends and connecting with the awesome fan base we’ve gotten to know over the years.”
The new series comes a couple weeks after the network announced that, due to the pandemic, post-production on the tenth season finale would not be able to be completed in time for its scheduled April 12 air date and would be aired at a later date in the year as a special episode.

“We loved the idea of experimenting with the couple,” Sarah Barnett, president of AMC Networks’ Entertainment Group and AMC Studios, said in a statement. “And this really will be an experiment — it’s the antidote to the overly rehearsed, overly manicured glimpse into somebody’s perfect life… Ultimately, it’s a shot at some raw and real entertainment that will uplift and connect with our audiences.”
Friday Night In With the Morgans is set to premiere on AMC on Friday, April 17 at 10 p.m. EST.
