Holly Marie Combs has been deeply affected by the loss of her dear friend and colleague, expressing her emotions through various photos and anecdotes shared on her Instagram account following Doherty’s untimely demise.
In a recent Instagram post, Combs humorously mentioned that Doherty had jokingly assured her she would haunt her posthumously, with Combs playfully anticipating the possibility.
“It’s been one week, and it feels like an eternity,” Combs penned in her Instagram post. “I spent the entire day searching for a specific photo and found nearly every picture except that one.
“Shannen assured me she’d haunt me, but I assumed she’d have other distractions initially. Nevertheless, I’m certain it will surface when and where I least anticipate it. My rock.”
Combs’ immediate reaction following Doherty’s passing was palpable. In a heartfelt Instagram tribute, she conveyed her appreciation for her bond with Shannen, juxtaposed with the profound sorrow she felt over her demise.
“My partner of 31 years. There is a void in my chest, and I can’t seem to draw a breath. A piece of me is absent, even though I can envision precisely what you would say to me in this moment. I know precisely what you would advise me to do now. I am aware that your enduring spirit will reside within me and my children, whom you cherished as your own.
“They will walk with your sense of purpose and pride. They will be honest and stand firm for what is just. Irrespective of the circumstances and with no care given. Your passion will endure in them and the numerous other Charmed ones you aided in nurturing. A valiant warrior till the end. My most steadfast champion. My devoted guardian. My closest confidante. You taught me the essence of family. You were and will forever be my sister. I love you,” she expressed.
