After the sad news of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong’s passing, the South Korean government has extended its deep condolences and sympathy.
The South Korean Prime Minister’s Office announced that Prime Minister Han Duck-soo will be attending the funeral, showing the strong friendship and close cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea, who are strategic comprehensive partners. Sending a condolence delegation led by the Prime Minister demonstrates the importance of the relationship between the two countries.
Prior to this, South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol conveyed a message to Vietnamese President To Lam, expressing profound sorrow at the loss of General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong, a respected leader of Vietnam.
