The Party Central Committee’s office has released details for the funeral proceedings to ensure a dignified and secure event.
Visitors need to bring a chip-embedded ID card or a phone with VNeID level 2 activated to scan the QR code for entrance at the National Funeral Hall in Hanoi.
The memorial service will be held at the National Funeral Hall on July 25 from 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM and on July 26 from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
The funeral ceremony will occur on July 26 at 1:00 PM at the National Funeral Hall, followed by the burial at 3:00 PM at Mai Dich Cemetery, Hanoi.
Public visitation hours are scheduled for July 25 and 26, with simultaneous memorials at the Reunification Hall in Ho Chi Minh City and the General Secretary’s hometown in Dong Anh District, Hanoi.
Live coverage of the ceremonies in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City will be broadcast by Vietnam Television (VTV) and Voice of Vietnam (VOV).
All government offices and public spaces must display mourning flags and refrain from entertainment activities on July 25-26, national mourning days.
Memorial and funeral arrangements at the Lai Da Village Cultural Center in Dong Hoi Commune, Dong Anh District, Hanoi, have been organized by the Dong Anh District People’s Committee.
The Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee has released details on the events at the Reunification Hall, including the assignment of delegation leaders and public arrangements.
Attendees are advised to wear formal dark attire suitable for national mourning, while students, workers, and officials should wear their uniforms.
Guests are not allowed to bring flowers, fruits, or incense. Only personal ID cards (or identification) are allowed, and handbags are prohibited. The organizing committee will provide floral wreaths with a required black ribbon bearing the unit’s name.
