Halle Berry, known for starring in the notorious movie Catwoman in 2004, commemorated its 20th anniversary with a daring photo on Instagram. Despite the film’s poor reception, Berry showed her appreciation for the role with a sensual image that delighted her fans.

Despite Berry’s performance being a highlight with an eight percent approval rating from 132 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, the film was deemed a “laughable action thriller” that even she couldn’t salvage.

Caroline Heldman criticized the movie for objectifying the lead character, stating that it portrayed her agency, power, and freedom as products of hypersexualization.

Berry’s Catwoman Photo Session

Despite any critiques from Heldman, Berry marked the 20th anniversary of Catwoman with a series of scantily clad photos, posing with her cats while wearing only a lingerie thong. Carefully arranged, her pet cats strategically covered her breasts to comply with Instagram’s guidelines as she flaunted her figure and toned stomach to her 8.6 million followers.

The post quickly gained nearly 500,000 likes after being shared on Tuesday, July 23, 2024.

Sharing the photos, Berry captioned, “And STILL… meow! It’s been 20 years today since I had the honor of bringing this iconic character to life. She will always be close to my heart, and I will forever be Patience Phillips aka CATWOMAN.

She also expressed gratitude to @missjee79 for assisting in rescuing the black cats that appeared in her yard, calling them “black beauties” and emphasizing her appreciation for the help.
