Gina Carano, a former actress in the Mandalorian series, is moving forward with her lawsuit against The Walt Disney Company and LucasFilm after being fired three years ago for a controversial social media post.
Her initial post compared the US political climate to the Holocaust, which led to her termination from the show. After the incident, many reposted her remarks under the hashtag #FireGinaCarano, prompting Disney to let her go from the project.
Elon Musk, the Tesla owner, reached out to support Carano in her legal battle. Despite Disney’s attempts to dismiss the lawsuit, a US District Judge rejected their claim, clearing the path for the Musk-funded case to proceed.
Gratitude for Musk
Carano expressed her gratitude to Elon Musk for his assistance and expressed her relief at being able to clear her name through legal means. She thanked Musk for his support and commitment to justice for all.
