Debo Adedayo, popularly known as Mr Macaroni, a Nigerian skitmaker, criticized the Federal government for its handling of the ongoing nationwide protest, accusing authorities of disrupting peaceful demonstrations and using tear gas on protesters.
On August 1, 2024, he responded to a post by SP Benjamin Hundeyin on X platform, pointing out that the protesters in Lagos were peaceful and questioning the government’s actions.
Reflecting on the 2020 ENDSARS protests, Mr Macaroni contested the government’s attempts to alter the narrative of past events. He emphasized the need to acknowledge the reality of the situation and criticized the violence inflicted by unknown assailants.
Mr Macaroni also voiced his disapproval of anti-protesters who opposed peaceful demonstrators, highlighting the irony in former protesters now hindering the rights of others to protest peacefully. He emphasized the importance of allowing people to voice their grievances and the responsibility of the government to protect their right to protest.
See Post Below;
This is proof that the protests are always peaceful and with good intentions until state sponsored thugs are sent to disrupt the protests. The Police in their complicity will ignore the infiltrators and start to attack Peaceful Protesters.
This is how it happens not only in… https://t.co/DLgApZiqss
