Fans eagerly following the romance between Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce will have to exercise patience as wedding bells may not chime in the near future.
A spokesperson for the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end has poured cold water on any imminent wedding plans for the famous duo, but the prospect of a future marriage remains a possibility given their flourishing relationship.
Speculations were sparked by a recent report in Page Six quoting a source close to Kelce who hinted that the NFL star was on the verge of proposing to Swift. However, Kelce’s spokesperson refuted any engagement plans at this time, as reported by the same outlet.
Various rumors and leaks have circulated over the past year regarding Kelce and Swift’s relationship, with some suggesting an impending engagement, and even whispers of a secret engagement yet to be unveiled.
Challenging schedules
Given the demanding schedule of Swift with her Eras Tour traversing the globe, it’s logical that an engagement has not yet materialized, making it difficult to establish a stable engagement amidst the constant movement.
As the new NFL season looms closer, Kelce will be faced with more frequent travels, albeit over shorter distances, prompting fans to closely monitor his whereabouts upon Swift’s return to the country.
A hiatus in the Eras Tour from August 20 to mid-October has been earmarked for Swift to spend quality time with her NFL beau in Kansas City, as per Page Six’s confirmation.
This interval coincides with the conclusion of the Chiefs’ training camp on August 15. Despite preseason games slated for August 10, 17, and 22, it will offer Kelce greater flexibility (relative to the intense NFL season) to be with Swift once she is in Kansas City.
