Nigerian comedian Seyi Law criticized Northerners for potentially harming their region in pursuit of power or animosity towards other tribes. This statement follows his social media post sharing a video of Professor Usman Yusuf, a Northern leader, expressing concerns about the region’s security despite Northern representation in top government positions.
In the video, Professor Usman Yusuf highlighted the deterioration of security in the region, noting that despite having had Northern leaders in key positions, certain areas have become unsafe. He emphasized the need for introspection and self-responsibility in achieving peace and stability.
Addressing this, Seyi Law remarked, “If you like, continue to ruin your region because of the quest for power or the hate for another tribe.”
