General Christopher Musa, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), unveils a strategy by security forces to track down individuals instigating unconstitutional changes to the government.

The General notes that the military is cognizant of certain demonstrators pushing for regime change who are receiving financial support, and measures are being implemented to uncover and apprehend these backers.

During a recent joint media briefing at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja on August 6, General Musa underscored the military’s dedication to upholding the rule of law and addressing any menaces to national security.

The high-level gathering featured the Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hassan Abubakar, Chief of Defence Intelligence, and Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun. Also in attendance were representatives from the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigeria Customs Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), and Nigeria Correctional Service (NCoS).

General Musa disclosed that some supporters of protesters exhibiting foreign flags have been detained, with their financial accounts frozen.
