Jack Black’s Statement on the Future of Tenacious D

In response, Black announced the cancellation of Tenacious D’s ongoing tour and hinted at a possible rift. However, at a movie premiere where Black sported his iconic Pick of Destiny necklace, he clarified to Variety at the ‘Borderlands’ premiere that the band is not disbanding but rather taking a break. He emphasized that despite initial concerns, Tenacious D is not splitting up, but he admitted to reflecting on recent events.
Reaffirming the band’s significance, Black highlighted the importance of Tenacious D and his friendship with Kyle Gass over his various film and TV roles. He emphasized the need for a break, stating, “We need to take a break. Everybody needs a break sometime. And we’ll be back.” Black underscored the enduring friendship between him and Gass, expressing his love for Tenacious D and its meaningful role in his life.
