Authorities from the Kano State Police Command have apprehended six individuals regarding the alleged ransacking and devastation of Kano Printing Press (KPP) during the nationwide demonstration against hunger.
The State Commissioner of Police, CP Salman Dogo Garba, made this announcement while showcasing the suspects to journalists at the command headquarters on Monday, August 12, 2024.
“The police have detained an additional six (6) suspects believed to have orchestrated the destruction, arson, and pillaging of the Kano Printing Press (KPP). The suspects are currently under investigation,” he affirmed.
It is worth remembering that the printing press, established in 1933, was one of the government facilities vandalized by troublemakers during the violent hunger protest in the state.
