Dr. Dre’s Olympic Dream for 2028

Dr. Dre is serious about participating in the 2028 Olympic Games

Andre Romell Young, known as Dr. Dre, wants to compete in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games, shifting his focus from his successful music career to sports.

Snoop Dogg, another renowned rapper, recently appeared at the Olympics in Paris, engaging in various activities to promote NBC’s coverage of the event.

Dr. Dre aims to take it a step further by not just attending but actively participating in the games.

At the Paris closing ceremony, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg performed together, sparking Dr. Dre’s desire to compete in the future Olympic Games as an archer.

The 59-year-old musician has been practicing archery as a hobby and hopes to qualify to represent Team USA in the archery event at the Los Angeles Olympics in 2028.

He expressed his genuine interest in archery, sharing that he began playing with bows and arrows in junior high and later resumed the sport with the equipment gifted by his son.

While the USA won the bronze in mixed team archery in Paris, securing a spot on the team won’t be easy, as South Korea is a dominant force in the sport, winning multiple golds.

Dr. Dre’s involvement in the Olympics would add a personal touch to the event being held in his native city of Compton, but considerable effort lies ahead for him to turn this aspiration into reality.
