Sabrina Carpenter and Jenna Ortega have joined forces for a creatively dark music video for Carpenter’s latest single, “Taste.” The video begins with a forewarning of intense violence, but the ensuing chaos is more amusing than alarming. Within the video, Carpenter and Ortega engage in a fierce rivalry over a boyfriend, played by Rohan Campbell. This competition quickly intensifies, resulting in a series of absurdly violent showdowns.
From setting Carpenter ablaze to tossing her out of a window and even impaling her on a picket fence, Ortega goes all out. However, Carpenter doesn’t shy away; she retaliates with her own outlandish actions.
