Instead of tackling Swift’s endorsement directly, Trump highlighted his preference for Brittany Mahomes.
Trump remarked, “I actually like Mrs. Mahomes much better,” adding that “She’s a big Trump fan. I was not a Taylor Swift fan.” His sarcastic remarks ignited an animated response on social media.
Swift, who had just endorsed Harris after the debate, responded to Trump’s previous use of a manipulated image of her to falsely imply her endorsement of him. Trump brushed off Swift’s backlash, labeling her as “very liberal” and implying that her political choices might negatively impact her career. “She’s always endorsing a Democrat, and she’ll probably pay a price for it in the marketplace,” he declared. Moreover, he continued to express his preference for Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Brittany, interestingly, is connected to Swift through her husband’s teammate Travis Kelce, who is currently in a relationship with the pop star. The two women were spotted together at the U.S. Open, where they appeared friendly, despite their political views. This encounter drew online discussions, particularly from Swifties, who were taken aback by the interaction between Brittany, a noted Trump supporter, and Swift before the latter had made her political stance public.

In her endorsement, Swift commended Kamala Harris for her leadership abilities, stating that Harris “fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.” Swift expressed confidence that Harris represents a steady leader who could guide the nation toward a more peaceful future. “I believe we can accomplish so much more in this country if we are led by calm and not chaos,” Swift remarked, seemingly alluding to Trump’s often confrontational approach.
