Following the criticism she received, she addressed critics via an Instagram Story, stating, “To hate as an adult indicates unresolved issues from childhood. There’s no reason to dislike others’ success as a mature individual.”

In contrast, Patrick tends to maintain a low profile regarding his political views. While he promoted voter turnout among African Americans during the 2020 election, his specific political leanings remain ambiguous, according to Time. He mentioned, “I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote a specific way. I encourage people to research and decide for themselves,” which he voiced in April. Although Patrick’s political influence could affect the upcoming 2024 election, Brittany’s fleeting endorsement of Trump was noted by the former president himself.

Donald Trump welcomes celebrity endorsements enthusiastically. Following Brittany Mahomes’ approval of his post, he expressed gratitude on Truth Social, stating, “Thank you, Brittany Mahomes, for your strong defense of me and recognizing that MAGA represents the most potent political movement in our struggling country.” He continued with concerns over crime, illegal immigration, and inflation and noted the importance of citizens who care about the country’s future. Trump concluded by mentioning he hopes to see the couple at the Super Bowl.

In the aftermath of the debate on September 10 between Trump and Kamala Harris, Taylor Swift, who had faced backlash for supporting Brittany, publicly endorsed Kamala Harris via Instagram. Swift stated, “I will be voting for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz for the 2024 election because I believe they stand for rights that need a strong advocate.” Trump responded by expressing a preference for Brittany over Swift, saying, “I actually prefer Mrs. Mahomes, to tell you the truth,” and admitted he was not a fan of Swift. As for Patrick Mahomes, he did cast his ballot for the first time in 2020 but stayed coy about his choice, emphasizing the significance of participating in elections.
