Recently, her mother shared a heartfelt story on her daughter’s podcast, ‘Let’s Be Clear’, highlighting a meaningful moment between them shortly before Shannen died.
During a special episode dedicated to Doherty, Rosa described a conversation with Chris Cortazzo in which she revealed the actress’s last wishes.
One evening, she recalled, “She summoned me one day and, after moving me to a room closer to hers, asked, ‘Mom, will you sleep with me tonight?'”
Rosa Doherty reflected on this moment, saying, “Being by her side those last few weeks was an incredible gift for me. I could hear her breath, feel her presence. It was her way of giving me a final present—asking me to stay close to her. That was her last gift in life.”
