Consequently, backup keeper Caoimhin Kelleher stepped in during the victories over Bournemouth and West Ham, impressing fans with his performance. Kelleher secured a clean sheet against Bournemouth and played a crucial role in Liverpool’s dominant 5-1 win over West Ham in the EFL Cup.

Despite Kelleher’s impressive performances, Slot is pleased to have Alisson back. He stated in the pre-match press conference, “We believe he is [fit to play]. He practiced with the team yesterday, so we expect him to complete today’s training session. We’re thrilled to have Alisson back, though I must commend Caoimhin for his excellent performance during Alisson’s absence. Having multiple quality options in goal is fantastic.”
With Alisson’s return, Harvey Elliott remains the only absentee for the Wolves game as he continues to recover from a foot injury. Slot is anticipated to deploy a strong lineup that includes Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk, and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
