Arsenal Ace Poised for January Exit After Unexpected Summer Stay

Arsenal star set to pack his bags in January despite summer stay image

Arsenal may bid farewell to one of their players as the January transfer window approaches, even after retaining him through the summer.

Jakub Kiwior has faced challenges in securing a spot in the team this season, leading him to explore new opportunities amidst intense competition within Mikel Arteta’s squad.

Kiwior Seeking a Fresh Opportunity

Reports suggest (as per TBR Football) that Kiwior has decided he wants to leave the club in January. After making only one league appearance this season, the Polish defender appears discontent with his lack of playtime behind Arsenal’s preferred options.

With players like Oleksandr Zinchenko and Jurrien Timber ahead of him, Kiwior feels his chances of playing in north London are restricted.

He was previously linked with a return to Italy last summer but opted to stay at Arsenal after the club decided to keep him as a backup option.

Despite remaining at the club, his minimal involvement has rekindled his wish to seek transfer. Initially regarded as a versatile player capable of filling both left-back and centre-back slots, it is evident that Arteta doesn’t consider him for the main lineup in the near future.

Arsenal is expected to demand around £15 million ($20 million) for Kiwior, who has a contract until 2028. A move back to Italy wouldn’t surprise many, as he has been linked with the Serie A for a while.

As competition grows at Arsenal, Kiwior may be the first to look for more consistent playing time elsewhere. The January transfer window could bring changes to the squad as they aim for the Premier League title.

Supporters will be eager to see if Kiwior’s potential exit paves the way for any thrilling new signings.
