Bolaji Ogunmola, a well-known Nigerian actress, discussed how a limited social circle contributes positively to her mental health.
In her latest video, Ogunmola expressed her inclination toward having fewer but meaningful friendships.
“I don’t have a large friend group,” she mentioned. “While I have many colleagues and acquaintances, the friends who truly understand me are quite few.”
She also opened up about her views on helping others, encouraging her audience to give without expecting anything in return.
“When you assist others, never do it with the thought of receiving something back. As humans, we often feel entitled when we help someone. Saying, ‘I did something for this person’ can cloud our intentions. Genuine kindness doesn’t come with expectations,” she advised.
Furthermore, Ogunmola discussed the significance of advocating for oneself when confronted with negativity or injustice.
“If people spread false negativity about you, it’s important to stand up for yourself,” she urged. “In the past, I would say that God would deal with it or that karma would take care of things. While I believe God fights my battles, it’s crucial to also speak out, especially when facing unfair treatment.”
