Chelsea Player Under Investigation for Alleged Slapping Incident in Premier League

Chelsea star faces Premier League suspension probe over slapping incident image

Nicolas Jackson, a striker for Chelsea, might be facing a suspension in the Premier League due to claims that he slapped Nottingham Forest’s defender, Morato.

The match before the October international break ended in a 1-1 draw between Chelsea and Nottingham Forest, leading to frustration for Blues manager Enzo Maresca.

Despite having a player advantage after James Ward-Prowse’s red card, the home team struggled to secure a win during 13 minutes of stoppage time.

As tensions rose towards the end of the match, Chelsea’s history of poor discipline reemerged, with four players cautioned after the 90-minute mark.

Substituted in the 81st minute, Jackson’s involvement continued into the final moments, leading to significant confrontations between the teams.

The conflict began when Forest’s Neco Williams seemingly pushed Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella against Maresca, causing the manager to fall to the ground.

In the ensuing chaos, both team benches joined the fray, and Jackson appeared to thrust his hands towards Morato’s face; however, VAR found no foul at that time.

According to reports from The Independent, the situation isn’t over for the Senegalese international if the FA decides to pursue retrospective punishment.

Chelsea will face a fine for the second time this season due to Premier League regulations concerning receiving six yellow cards in a single match, with a decision on Jackson expected shortly.
