Stefon Diggs appears to have responded discreetly to rumors of a past affair with Cardi B, which surfaced while she was still married. The receiver for the Houston Texans has made his Instagram account private amid escalating speculation.
The 30-year-old player is known for prioritizing his privacy and had already distanced himself from social media at the beginning of the NFL season. The recent claims made by DJ Akademiks seem to have prompted him to go this route once more.
This situation escalates amidst a public dispute between Offset (real name Kairi Cephus) and the mother of his children, as both take jabs at each other online.
The couple, on and off since 2017, got married in their first year together, though Cardi filed for divorce twice, once in 2020 and again in July 2024—just a day before revealing she was expecting their third child.
With their relationship status uncertain, Cardi disclosed in December 2023 that she was single. This has led to numerous allegations of infidelity from both parties, with the latest focusing on Cardi.
DJ Akademiks, whose real name is Livingston Allen, alleged that Cardi had an affair with a football player from his fantasy team, prompting fans to speculate who it could be, ultimately narrowing it down to the 2015 overall 146th draft pick.
However, with 69 receiving touchdowns under his belt, Diggs seems uninterested in engaging with the rumors, opting to set his Instagram profile to private, limiting access to those he approves.
Akademiks Clarifies His Stance
Despite insinuating that Cardi B might have cheated on Cephus to get back at him, Akademiks took care to clarify his position. He acknowledged that he lacked definitive knowledge about the situation.
Allen suggested that Cardi might not have been physically involved with Diggs at all; rather, she could simply have intended to provoke her partner, relying on suspicions of Cephus’s own unfaithfulness.
