Traveling from Abuja to Lagos via CNG Will Set You Back N10,000, Presidential Aide Reveals

Abuja To Lagos Using CNG Will Cost You N10000 Says (via Primetweets)

Adopting CNG for Affordable Travel

Olusegun Dada, who serves as the President’s Special Assistant on Social Media, has urged Nigerians to consider using Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as a more economical and eco-friendly option compared to Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).

In a recent X.com post, he mentioned that the cost to travel from Abuja to Lagos using CNG is N10,000. He emphasized, “CNG is less likely to explode due to heat than a PMS tank.”

He also noted the abundance of gas resources in Nigeria, stating that the growth of CNG infrastructure is accelerating, with new stations appearing nationwide.
Furthermore, he highlighted the increasing availability of CNG financing options, like those provided by Futurewave Energy Solutions, which allow users to convert vehicles with manageable payment plans.

“CNG financing improves daily with options like #futurewavecng letting you convert and pay over time,” he explained. He stressed the urgency for citizens to switch to CNG, calling it a safer, more affordable, and cleaner energy source.

This advice comes following a recent surge in fuel prices by the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited. Petrol prices jumped from N897/litre to N1,030/litre in Abuja and from N868/litre to N998/litre in Lagos, among other areas facing similar increases.

This latest price adjustment, the second within a month, reflects a rise of approximately 14.8 percent or N133.
