Suge Knight has alleged that Ben Affleck chose to part ways with Jennifer Lopez after viewing videos of her during her previous relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs, who has faced numerous allegations of abusive behavior.
The 54-year-old was taken into custody by Homeland Security on September 16, and he now faces charges related to human trafficking and racketeering in New York, having been denied bail several times.
Over 120 individuals have accused Combs of various forms of abuse, including sexual misconduct, although he has denied these claims and entered a not guilty plea in court.
Additionally, evidence of his abusive behavior towards past partners has surfaced, including a troubling video of him assaulting Cassie Ventura. This has raised alarms about Lopez as well, given their previous relationship between 1999 and 2001. Knight has suggested that video evidence from that time has affected Affleck.
“They raided Puffy’s [Combs’ house and seized videos showing J. Lo in various situations,” Knight, the former head of Death Row Records who is currently incarcerated, stated. “It’s a respected white man in that world.”
“I’m certain they said, ‘We need to show you these clips about your spouse.’ It’s likely they decided to split as that’s a man who was accustomed to a good life.”
“Wealthy, good parents don’t show off or chase fame, he was just living life. Lopez introduced a lot of chaos into his life, and now he feels the need to exit.”
Validity of Knight’s Statement
Combs’ residences in California and Florida were searched in March 2024. Meanwhile, Lopez indicated in her divorce filing that their separation occurred on April 26, amid ongoing marital struggles throughout 2023.
Reports suggest that Affleck’s serious demeanor often contrasted sharply with Lopez’s vibrant and lively nature, with this disparity becoming particularly apparent during an event at the Grammys in February 2023.
During the ceremony, Affleck, who is known to avoid public engagement, appeared visibly disinterested, fueling speculations about difficulties in their relationship off-camera.
