Paul Di’Anno, the former lead singer of Iron Maiden, has sadly died at 66, as his family announced on Monday.
Di’Anno, born Paul Andrews, passed away at his home in Salisbury, Wiltshire. He served as the lead vocalist for the renowned heavy metal group during its formative years, playing a vital role in their eponymous debut album in 1980 and the subsequent album, Killers, released in 1981, before Bruce Dickinson took over the lead vocals.
