Sutton Foster has started divorce proceedings against her husband, screenwriter Ted Griffin, famous for penning “Ocean’s Eleven.” Foster has filed for an uncontested divorce in the Supreme Court of New York, marking the conclusion of their nearly decade-long marriage.
The couple wed in an intimate ceremony in Santa Barbara, California, in October 2014, and their wedding was partially showcased on TLC’s “Say Yes to the Dress,” where Foster chose her wedding dress.
Concerns regarding their marriage surfaced when Foster was spotted becoming closer to her co-star, Hugh Jackman, during their performances in the Broadway revival of “The Music Man.”
Sources suggest that the two formed a strong bond while working together, hinting that their friendship may have evolved into something more romantic.
Speculation about a relationship with Jackman
Since late 2023, there have been increasing rumors about a potential romance between Foster and Jackman, although they have reportedly kept their interactions private, avoiding being seen together in public.
This speculation emerged coincidentally with Jackman’s separation from his spouse of 27 years, Deborra-Lee Furness, announced in September 2023.
The former couple expressed gratitude for their nearly three-decade marriage in a statement, saying, “We have been blessed to share almost three decades together as husband and wife in a wonderful, loving marriage.”
