On Thursday, November 14, 2024, SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, spokesperson for the State Police Command, shared important information during a press conference held at the Bompai police headquarters.

In Danshoshiya village, located in the Kwanar Dangora area of Kano State, a violent incident occurred where two individuals accused of attempting kidnapping were killed by an irate mob.

SP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa provided details during the press briefing, revealing that the suspects were apprehended by law enforcement and local vigilantes as they attempted to abduct a 35-year-old resident named Haruna Abubakar.

Frustrated locals took action into their own hands, leading to the death of the alleged kidnappers.

“On November 9, 2024, around 6:00 PM, law enforcement, along with vigilant community members from Danshoshiya Village, detained two people, identified as Haruna Abdulsalam and Mandi Snu, while they tried to kidnap Haruna Abubakar, a 35-year-old local,”
reported the police chief.

“The suspects were attacked by the public and were later taken to a hospital, where they were confirmed dead by medical staff.”
