Man Utd Addresses Pogba Training Speculations Amid Potential Juventus Departure

Man United

Ex-Manchester United player Paul Pogba is weighing his options as he finds himself a free agent.

Recently, Pogba has faced significant scrutiny due to a reduced suspension stemming from a doping violation earlier this year.

After a thorough review, the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) accepted that Pogba’s use of a banned substance was “not intentional”.

Consequently, Pogba’s four-year ban was shortened to 18 months, starting from September 2023, allowing him to potentially return to competitive play by March 2025.

Initially, Pogba intended to return to Juventus, but the club swiftly declined the opportunity to reintegrate him into their squad.

After discussions with his agents, they reached a settlement to terminate his contract, meaning he will officially part ways with the club on November 30.

Pogba’s Future Club Prospects

As a free agent, Pogba is free to sign with a new team despite the current transfer window being closed, with possible links to Premier League teams surfacing lately.

However, despite speculation about a return to Manchester United—where he previously played for six years after a record £89m ($116m) transfer from Juventus—the club is not interested in re-signing him.

Reports indicate that the notion of Pogba being invited to train at United’s Carrington facilities while he seeks a new team is false, according to Talksport.

Pogba will now begin looking for a new opportunity, but with his suspension still in effect until March, it may hinder clubs from making offers until the summer.
