Kim Kardashian’s Hilariously Awkward Encounter with Her New Tesla Robot Best Friend

Kim Kardashian's new BFF is a Tesla robot and their first interaction is hilariously awkward

It’s quite unusual to imagine a partnership between Kim Kardashian and Elon Musk, especially since they are from very different worlds. However, Kardashian seems quite intrigued by Musk’s innovations, particularly evident when she showcased her new acquisition: the Tesla Optimus robot.

Despite not being particularly tech-oriented, Kim does have a penchant for Tesla vehicles. Recently, she took to social media to flaunt her new Cybertruck.

Although she encountered some challenges with the vehicle—common among many buyers—she wasn’t deterred from acquiring one of Musk’s recent innovations. In an Instagram Story, Kim presented it as her new “personal assistant.”

Introducing Kim and Optimus: A Unique Duo

In a series of Instagram Stories, Kim introduced Optimus to her vast audience, showcasing some of the robot’s programmed abilities. She greeted Optimus with a wave, which it returned.

The highlight came when Kim made a half-heart gesture, and Optimus correctly mirrored it. “Oh, you can do that!,” she exclaimed, appearing unfazed by the robot’s striking resemblance to something fromI, Robot.

The amusement continued as Optimus performed a jogging motion followed by hand waves. Kim jokingly responded, “Oh, you’re Hawaiian!”, igniting a flurry of memes and laughter across social media.

Purchasing or Present?

It remains uncertain whether Kardashian forked out the significant $20,000-$30,000 for Optimus or if it was a complimentary gift from Musk. Regardless, this publicity stunt benefits both parties immensely.

Musk initially envisioned Optimus as a versatile helper—capable of fulfilling roles such as babysitter, gardener, or teacher. For now, however, Kardashian’s Optimus seems to act more like a entertaining gadget, but who knows? It might take on new roles like dog walking in the near future.

Given Kardashian’s talent for transforming everyday moments into viral content, it’s likely we haven’t seen the last of her robotic companion.
