Angelina Jolie has severed most ties between Brad Pitt and their children, complicating the actor’s attempts to reconnect with them. Sources indicate that Pitt is now contemplating reaching out to Jolie to heal their strained relationship.
The 60-year-old actor’s connection with his children—Maddox, Pax, Zahara, Shiloh, and twins Vivienne and Knox—has reportedly declined due to ongoing legal disputes with Jolie.
Several children have distanced themselves from their father, with some even opting to change their last names. Notably, Shiloh has filed to be recognized as Shiloh Nouvel Jolie, while others are said to have made informal name changes.
“Brad is holding onto hope for his kids, and the alienation is taking a toll on him. As time passes, the situation becomes increasingly painful,” an insider shared with RadarOnline.com.
“With the holiday season approaching, the sadness intensifies for him, prompting him to consider reaching out to Angelina and asking for some compassion to spend time with his children.”
“He is exhausted from the ongoing legal issues and hopes Angelina will agree to end the hostility, not only to find peace but also to stop the unnecessary legal expenses.”
Presently, the youngest children, Vivienne and Knox, remain in touch with Pitt via scheduled visits, while he remains largely disconnected from the others.
Seeking resolution over winery dispute
Compounding the estrangement is a legal disagreement over Chateau Miraval, a French winery that the couple used to own together. Angelina Jolie has sold her half to Russian entrepreneur Yuri Shefler, a move that Pitt is legally contesting.
“He’s prepared to negotiate the ongoing lawsuit and be more flexible in other matters if it allows him to see his kids,” the insider added.
“He just wants a moment to be with them during the holidays. For Thanksgiving, he is inviting his entire extended family, who all share a love for his children and miss them dearly.”
“It deeply pains him to be estranged, and he is willing to do everything necessary to bridge that gap.”
