Prince Harry’s New Accent Sparks Buzz Among Fans: ‘He Sounds So American Now!’

Fans pick up on something in latest Prince Harry clip: 'He totally has an American accent now'

It seems that Prince Harry‘s British accent may be fading, based on a recent video.

Since stepping back from royal responsibilities over four years ago, the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle have made their home in Montecito, California.

Harry has expressed his happiness about residing in the U.S. with his wife and their kids, Archie, 5, and Lilibet, 3. In a February interview on Good Morning America, he shared his love for each day spent in the country.

Fans have noted a shift in Harry’s accent, suggesting he has started adopting an American way of speaking. A recent skit with Jelly Roll at East Side Ink in New York drew attention, with viewers commenting on his use of American phrases.

“Prince Harry’s British accent is sounding less prominent, giving way to an American one,” remarked one fan, while another added, “He definitely sounds American now.”

Additionally, another viewer noted, “It appears Prince Harry is losing his British accent.”

Harry promotes The Invictus Games in the video

The video, featuring Harry and Jelly Roll, aims to promote The Invictus Games. In this clip, Harry uses American expressions such as calling the tattoo artist “dude” and exclaiming, “That [tattoo] feels big man.”

He adds, “You put your name on my neck,” raising his voice at the end, a trait often found in American speech.

Harry also mentioned the tattoo could go on his “a**,” using the American version instead of the British term “a***.”

Communication expert Anthony Shuster commented to the Telegraph on the noticeable differences in speaking styles between Harry and his father, the King. He remarked that Harry’s speech lacks formal articulation.
