Popular American musicians Ashanti and Nelly are reportedly having their second child.
As reported by Page Six, the pair is expecting their new arrival after tying the knot in a private ceremony last December.
This joyous news follows the birth of their son, Kareem Kenkaide Hayne, born on July 18.
Ashanti expressed her emotions remembering the moment she first saw her son, sharing with “Entertainment Tonight,”
“I cried; it was such an emotional and spiritual experience. I had envisioned this moment for so long … it felt electrifying,” she reminisced.
Nelly, 50, and Ashanti, 44, originally crossed paths at a Grammy Awards press event in 2003. Their collaborations include the 2008 hit “Body on Me” and their recent 2024 track “This Lil’ Game We Play.”
The couple had a decade-long relationship before separating in 2013, only to reignite their romance in April 2023 during a boxing match in Las Vegas.
By September, Nelly confirmed their reconciliation, stating that their renewed relationship was unexpected for them.
Documents obtained by Page Six revealed that the couple had officially married in Nelly’s hometown, St. Louis, on December 27, 2023.
