Reno Omokri
Reno Omokri, a former advisor to the president, believes that many men face neglect in their later years due to their choices in marriage. He argues that opting for attractive partners over nurturing ones contributes to this abandonment.
According to Omokri, the essence of marriage transcends physical intimacy; it is fundamentally about providing care and support.
He emphasizes the importance of having a compassionate partner and cautions that such individuals are uncommon.
In a recent post on X, Omokri shared his thoughts:
“In Africa, we need to recognize that marriage is rooted in care, not just sexual fulfillment. While intimacy is part of the relationship, it constitutes merely around 15%. The majority—over 50%—is centered on care. The remaining portion pertains to parenting. When you find a caring woman, value her and keep her close. Observe the older men suffering from neglect; many chose glamour over genuine care in their marriages.”
