Kansas City Chiefs have had a dynamic season, but one major off-field highlight has been the relationship between Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. Even as Swift dominates the charts as Spotify’s leading artist of 2024, she was surprisingly missing from the Spotify Wrapped playlists of Kelce’s fellow teammates.
A TikTok shared by the Chiefs showcased players discussing their favorite artists of the year, and none mentioned Taylor Swift.
Among the Chiefs favorites were NBA YoungBoy (identified by Mike Pennel and Chris Jones), Rod Wave (chosen by running back Kareem Hunt), and the rock band Kings of Leon (mentioned by offensive tackle Creed Humphrey). Other popular artists included Kendrick Lamar, Lauryn Hill, Tems, Future, and Drake.

Despite varied tastes among the players, the lack of Taylor Swift stirred comments from both her fans and Chiefs supporters. Swift‘s recent album “The Tortured Poets Department” topped global streaming charts in 2024, and she is also part of the NFL’s hottest couple.
Comments on TikTok showed a range of reactions, with jokes about player choices, such as one saying Chris Brown‘s selection was questionable for 2024.
However, many Taylor Swift fans were particularly vocal, questioning why Travis Kelce was missing from the clip. One comment read, “Where is our Travy for this question?” while another expressed, “I’m personally insulted that Travis Kelce wasn’t included.”
Travis Kelce comments on Swift’s Eras Tour
Although Kelce wasn’t part of the Spotify Wrapped TikTok video, he did take the opportunity to praise Taylor‘s phenomenal Eras Tour on the latest episode of his ‘New Heights’ podcast alongside his brother Jason Kelce.
“Special shout-out to Tay, as her incredible Eras Tour comes to a close,” Travis shared on the December 11 episode.
“Kudos to everyone who contributed to that performance. It was solely her music and tour, but it was a magnificent spectacle, all thanks to many, especially Taylor herself.”
