Jennifer Lopez has shared her thoughts on handling challenges in life, giving an honest look at her perspective following her divorce from Ben Affleck.
The 55-year-old star openly discussed her approach to overcoming obstacles.
“I believe that I handle issues not by viewing them as negative events for me, but instead as opportunities for me,” Lopez stated during an interview with British Vogue regarding her new film, Unstoppable. “What can I learn from this experience?”
Having encountered numerous personal and professional hurdles, Lopez stressed the significance of maintaining a hopeful attitude.
“By adopting this mindset and staying positive, it becomes much easier to accept these experiences as lessons,” she remarked.
The singer of On the Floor sees challenges as chances for development.
“Nothing happens by coincidence. There’s a reason for everything that occurs in our lives,” she added.
Insights Gained from Love and Loss
Lopez recently contemplated her time with Affleck and the insights garnered from it. In a conversation with Interview magazine, she acknowledged that her past taught her that she is “worthy of joy and happiness” on her own.
“I reflect and think … ‘Thank you, God. I acknowledge it took me a while. I apologize for all the times you had to teach me this lesson. I should have understood it sooner. I’ve got it now,'” Lopez expressed.
Their relationship began in 2002 when they met during the filming of Gigli. Their romance quickly captured public attention, leading to a split in 2004. After nearly 20 years, they reignited their relationship and tied the knot in 2022.
However, by mid-2024, reports of difficulties in their marriage began to emerge. Lopez filed for divorce in August, marking their separation date as April 26. Despite their split, Lopez and Affleck are dedicated to their blended family dynamics.
