Naomi’s Sibling Shares Latest News on Arrest, Emphasizes Health Issues

Similoluwa shared that prior to Naomi’s court appearance, a medical professional indicated her blood pressure was dangerously high, and she was denied communication with her relatives.

Simi Oluwaseyi, Naomi’s sister and the estranged spouse of the Ooni of Ife, took to Instagram to provide updates regarding her sister’s detention, highlighting serious health issues after Naomi collapsed while being held.

Naomi’s arrest was linked to a devastating stampede in Ibadan that led to the deaths of 35 individuals.

In her Instagram posts, Similoluwa expressed her condolences to the grieving families while also raising alarms about Naomi’s condition.

She disclosed that during the third day of her sister’s custody, Naomi fainted during questioning by the Department of State Services (DSS) and was subsequently taken to a hospital.

Additionally, she noted that a doctor had confirmed Naomi’s alarmingly high blood pressure before she faced court, and mentioned that Naomi had not been allowed to communicate with her family or use her phone.

One part of her message stated, “I truly feel for the families who lost their children. My sister has been in detention for over six days, collapsing on the third day during DSS interrogation and was taken to the hospital.”
