Demi Moore seemingly overlooked Kylie Jenner at the Golden Globes, engaging with others at her table while only acknowledging the Kardashian star with a brief word during an awkward moment captured on January 5.
Moore received her first-ever Golden Globe award for her performance in The Substance. Despite starting her acting journey in 1978 with the show W.E.B and gaining attention on General Hospital, this marked her first win at the prestigious event.
While celebrating, Moore approached Jenner’s table to embrace Ellie Fanning and converse with Monica Barbaro, leaving Kylie appearing as an uncomfortable spectator. Despite Kylie attempting to congratulate Moore, she only received a brief “Thanks” before being ignored once more.
Adding to the cringe, Moore subsequently chatted with Kylie‘s boyfriend, Timothee Chalamet, who also offered congratulations. At this point, Kylie seemed disengaged, opting to scroll through her phone.
Fans React to the Snub
Viewers were perplexed by Moore‘s apparent snub, taking to X.com (previously Twitter) to express their thoughts.
There hasn’t been any known tension between Moore and Jenner. In fact, they showed mutual admiration in October 2024 when Kylie recreated a famous pose from Demi’s 1996 poster for Striptease.
One commenter on X remarked, “I love how she ignored Kylie lol.”
Another questioned, “Wait, why did Demi do that?”
A third user noted, “Kylie TRIED to get involved there bahahahaha Demi was like ‘NOPE.'”
However, some pointed out that Moore did briefly acknowledge Jenner with her congratulations, even if it was momentary.
Representatives for both actresses did not reply to inquiries from The New York Post regarding the incident.
