Jennifer Garner Teams Up with LA Firefighters as Ben Affleck Steps In to Support Family

Jennifer Garner has taken initiative to assist firefighters responding to the severe Los Angeles wildfires. Following a recent visit from her ex-husband, Ben Affleck, who came to check on their children’s safety, the 52-year-old actress was seen volunteering with World Central Kitchen (WCK), a charity focused on providing meals for first responders and those displaced by the fires.

Dressed in a hoodie, jeans, and a baseball cap, Garner partnered with WCK’s founder, José Andrés, to prepare food for countless firefighters battling the threatening flames in the region. Her volunteering comes amid ongoing wildfires across Southern California, which have forced families from their homes and devastated areas such as Pacific Palisades, Altadena, and Hollywood Hills.

Ben Affleck’s home narrowly avoids wildfire damage

Ben Affleck, who recently acquired a $20.5 million property in Pacific Palisades, had a narrow escape as flames approached his home. After evacuating, the Argo actor sought shelter at Garner’s residence on Tuesday, assisting her and their kids in moving to safety.

Affleck returned later to assess the condition of his home, which fortunately remained intact, even though evacuation orders were still in place for the area. Dressed in a tan blazer and white dress shirt, Affleck looked relieved amid the concerns of potential flare-ups due to high winds.

Devastating losses for Hollywood stars

While Affleck’s property survived unscathed, other celebrities have faced significant losses. Renowned actor John Goodman and Academy Award winner Anthony Hopkins both lost their homes, which were completely destroyed. Additionally, reality stars Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag had to evacuate as flames overtook their property.

The ongoing fires have been fueled by strong winds, leading to new outbreaks in Altadena and prompting urgent evacuations in nearby Pasadena. More homes in Hollywood Hills were also put at risk.

Despite the rampant chaos, Garner’s commitment epitomizes community resilience. Her involvement with WCK showcases her dedication to those in the frontline, even while navigating personal challenges.

As LA confronts these wildfires, both residents and celebrities are reminded of the volatility of nature and the vital need for solidarity during tough times.
